CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. CSA allows local residents to have direct access to Sleepy Cat Farm’s high quality, fresh produce. When you become a member of our CSA, you’re purchasing a “share” of vegetables. We offer full ($650) or half ($325) shares. All CSA payments are to be made to Sleepy Cat Farm. Please inquire for 2019 CSA through our Contact Page.
Pick up is in the potting room office on Wednesdays between 11 am and 4 pm. Please bring your SCF bags back each week and we will issue a newly filled one. Leslie or Alan will be there to hand out shares. CSA shareholders are also welcome to walk through the vegetable garden.
Please understand, that because we are an organic garden, there is always the possibility of an insect or two or specks of debris in your produce. It is recommended that you rinse and pat dry your leafy greens before storing them in the cold for best results. Since they are harvested the same day, they should last the entire week… that is unless you eat them.
Please call the office if you are unable to pick up your share: 203-485-9666.
Share Notice: Please let us know if you are coming so we can pack a bag. Please bring your bag if you have one at home.
This week’s bounty:
Arugula, Radish, Lettuce, Spinach, Snow Peas. Swiss Chard, Microgreens, Cilantro, Rhubarb (optional), Kohlrabi leaves (like Kale), Parsley and Sweet Pea flowers (do not eat).
